Default Wiring

All I want to know is what wires ( location and colour) to splice into for 12 volt constant and 12 v Acc. I've got this rearview mirror that has been a PITA to install. Anyone? Help is greatly appreciated.

Seems like already had some good tips in the first thread you started on this. Have you tested it directly on the battery? In the other thread you said the mirror wouldn't power on.

Like stated above, a test light will help. Checking in the fuse box. That's how I found which circuits came on with the key and which ones stay hot. You should bring you power wires down to the fuse box and use a fuse tap to hook up the wires.

A 12v constant would be the 12v power outlet on the dash. I don't know what color it is. You could pull down your glove box door and see the wires from there.

If you do not have a trailer brake controler the plug for it has all you need. constant and switched.

This is a good idea and the wires should be there even if you don't have a trailer brake controller.

On my 2012 Platinum I got Acc power from the overhead console (handy for the mirror) for a radar detector. The ground is black with yellow stripe, the Acc +12v is the blue wire. Sorry, I didn't need the continuous +12 so don't have any idea about it.
