I tapped into the wire on the dimmer switch. The lights come on when you open the doors or when the light sensor turns them on when it gets dark.

So now, whenever the parking lights are on so is my ambient. I also wired a switch in for when I don't want them on. I am wanting to find a controller though for brightness, or I might just use some resistors but I would like the customization of a controller.

Any suggestions on controlling the brightness?
Get a Dimmer switch from www.superbrightleds.com runs $20, thats what I did! Works great...
