Butane is the right answer.

Hopefully here chicago did not get yet. Prices are up about .25 cents in the last month. .maybe they raise it before hand..so they can lower it for the blend and make the same $$$

This could not possibly be due to oil in recent weeks plunging to near 3 year lows? Nah...

It's interesting when the national news shows talk about prices dropping, and locally you don't see it. Unfortunately there aren't stories about prices going up 20 - 40 cents for no reason, just drop stories...

When the recent story said prices were dropping, in Michigan we saw a 20 cent increase. It's now dropped about $.11 from a week ago. Until it drops another quarter I'm now calling it a drop.

Winter blend has nothing to do with fuel line freeze-ups. It's all about the federal mandates for a summer blend which doesn't evaporate as much. September 15th is the cutover date when they are allowed to go back to the cheaper butane mix (winter blend).
I wonder what Canada does, as far as fuel mixes, and how it compares to the US.
