If you went thru paypal, file a dispute. You'll get the part or your money back.

While the common symptom is wipers running while switched off, I don't see why it wouldn't cause the opposite effect. Just make sure the fuse(s) for the wipers is/are not blown.

I had the same issue. I drove around for weeks with wipers that would come on and turn off on their own. I googled the issue and found a You Tube video somehow and bought the part and installed myself. It took me 30 minutes all in all. I bought the part from my Ford dealer bc I didn't want to wait 2 more days to get it. It was $45+ and AutoZone was around $35.
Anyway, I popped it in, tried the turn signal, tried the wipers and called it good, 2 weeks ago. Today I tried the squirt and wipe button. Nothing. Pollen is flying around here like its going out of style and I got nothing.
Does anyone know if there is anything special that needed to be done during install or is it a bad multi function arm?

Its difficult to diagnose from where I am sitting but I would start by checking the fuse, If the wipers do not even start with no squirt than it is probably a bad/wrong switch or fuse
if just no squirt then confirm wiper fluid level then verify if the motor is pumping ( have assistant hit button and feel or listen for buzz) if the wiper motor is firing check for disconnected hose or clogged nozzles
If the wiper motor isnt working then go to the Owners manual and find the fuse location
if the fuse is good then try removing the wiper motor power connector and use a test light to confirm power to the switch
Also verify that you got the correct switch . There are two switches, one for the type with automatic rain sensor and another with manual , that may have something to do with it but not sure, I almost ordered the wrong one then noticed there are two types
If the malfunction is only when you press the washer button, but wipers work otherwise, then I would suspect the switch

Update; Took the assy arm back to my Ford dealer and swapped for another new one. Popped it in while in the parking lot, tested all of the functions and everything is working now. The problem was a faulty part. Ford exchanged it no questions asked.

Default Just came this weekend

Damn it!
My 2013 has the symptom. This weekend I was driving offroad raining, when I took the road and stop the rain I shut off but it continued running on the slowest speed. I moved, jiggled ,etc and suddenly continued running, but on the SECOND speed.
After like one hour it just stopped . I used it later with no problem
This afternoon I took it to clean all the dirt, wiper to clean the windshield and the problem came back again.
