Default Windshield Washer Low a fix for a DIY'er

Here is a side level float switch. Drill a hole near bottom of the tank install this run 12V to one side the other to a LED on the dash some place and the last wire to a ground. Total cost less then $3 or $4 bucks. Half hour or so to install.

We can bit$% about it or try and figure out a fix for it. Me I just check mine when I get gas along with the oil and used to be tranny fluid.

Nice idea, but let me get this straight, so someone will pull the tank out, drill a hole, mount a switch, run some wires, mount a light on dash, & reinstall tank just because they don't want to pop the hood once a month or so to check washer fluid??? Really?

good idea for the lazy but do not want random LED's drilled through my dash.
"What's that light for?"

"Oh, for when my windshield washer fluid is low!"

You don't have to mount the LED in the dash, it could be placed anywhere Many have complained about lack of a warning light...

How exactly will I screw this into the reservoir? I need to access it from the inside to form a water tight seal

I go to a full service gas station as my warning light....they top up my washer fluid if needed as well as check my oil...and pump my gas in the arctic cold weather while I go inside and chat with the pretty young lady at the cash register. I always tip the person who pumps my gas as they earn it with the service they provide.

In the summer time I will do this myself while I hand wash my truck, but for now I let the gas station attendant do this for me!

For a little more and more accurate reading, you can get holding tank indicators for RVs!
