Default windshield cowl.

The black plastic panel (cowl) between the windshield is a pain to dry. On the pass side there is no problem but the drivers side holds water. Not sure why the vents are solid on that side (noise?) but when you wash your truck if you don't dry them then water flys all over the windshield/top of truck.(I know some of you just wash and go but I am a little **** about drying. My last F150 Lariat, those pockets turned white. I guess from the calcium in the water. Thus I want to prevent it this time) Would it affect anything to drill small drain holes in each little compartment. or is there something under there that should stay dry. Any thoughts? Thanks

Wouldn't small drain hole just get clogged up over time?

I live under a large Pecan tree with Pine trees all around me. I'm constantly picking Pine Needles and Pecan leaves out of the cowl. I wish there were no vents at all in the cowl on my truck.
