Hahhaa i agree! theyre taking away our rights! :p... but i dont have to worry much because i just noticed that most of the patrol units here have dark dark window tint and the border patrols here have svt raptors with limo tints on them and there u.s custom f-150's also have limo tint so if they stop me ill tell em to remove theirs and ill remove mine :p haha ill probably get thrown to jail for that haha.
The issue in CA is two-fold, first the darker tint does reduce visibilty on a dark night and even worse on a foggy dark night, such as in the Central Valley area of the state.
Next, and always most critical IMO, is the officer safety standpoint.
Even on a bright day, you cannot look into a vehicle and see who is driving it, and what they are doing as you make an approach on an enforcement stop. You cannot even tell if it is a 12 year old driving the car, or a guy with a gun pointed at your face, as he rolls down the window.
i have 12% all the way around on my truck i live in mississippi an the only person who cant write a tint ticket is a state trooper leagal here is 35% which is a waste of money just dont act like a jack***** an draw attention to yourself an you should be good
