I you tint the upper portion of the windshield, then this should help the awful glare that I get from the reflection of the dashboard, right?

When my truck was delivered, my dealer bathed Armor All all over the dash, and apparently whatever else felt good to oil up, and it is slowly wearing away. I think this is part of the glare problem I'm having due to the dashboard reflecting in the windshield in certain lighting conditions.

Can't say who did it here as it is highly illegal, but I added 55% to my windshield on my previous truck and it made a world of diff. It cooled off the black leather and since I had the truck for over 10 years I believe it helped protect the interior from hard sun.

not sure how you guys do it in cali, but here in tx, our registration and inspection stickers adhere to the window. did your installer cut around them or did you just stick them to the film? what about renewal time? did you have to retint?

I had my M3 windshield tinted with 3M 70% by a friend and while I didn't really have a choice, it was definitely worth it. I had a crack in the windshield and he hooked me up with a free windshield and tinted it saying I'd love it. The first few days was hazy and blurry which worried me but once it cleared up, it was awesome. No more glare from on-coming headlights at night but it was still easy to see out. I had black leather and it was definitely cooler in the LA sun.

I had the reg sticker laminated and taped it onto the windshield with scotch tape.

I've been pulled over a few times with that and no problems at all. It helps to have about 50 police affliated cards (pba, fop, police chiefs, etc). I have friends that are cops and lawyers that give the cards to me. I never ask.

Getting back on topic...

I just got my fronts tinted 35% this morning at a local shop that uses Johnson film. I was a bit worried but after doing some research online, I decided to go for it. It was $80 installed and guaranteed for the life of the truck.

My tint shop didnt remove the rear view mirror. They just cut around it and it look great.
