Wow, I leave the site for a couple of days and my simple suggestion for a sticker (more reflecting my own heritage) is turned into a political forum. If you don't want the sticker, fine. You don't see me commenting on some of the dumbarse mod's and accessories some of you put on your trucks.
Made in Detroit is a company that makes clothing and other accessories for those of us that are proud of our heritage and what the spirit of Detroit stands for and want a rebirth in Detroit. You can take your union arguments elsewhere, I'm sure there are better places for you spread your political opinions than on a truck forum.

This is an information post only, I have no desire to support Detroit "yet".

The costs to this country of the manufacturing that has been being shipped over seas, or out of country, as opposed to being made here, has yet been fully realized. But believe me, we are starting to feel it. I don't care where in the USA something is made, if it's just made here, it's a good thing.
As far as Chinese products go check out the Mustang forums - from what I can tell their manual trannies are made in China and are holding up as well as a Chinese toaster.
Nice.

I agree 100%.
<on soapbox>
The "offshoring" of jobs is a ticking time-bomb waiting to blow, all the while the politicians play patti-cake with corporations that are only interested in their bottom line that seek the cheapest solution to manufacturing/services, not realizing that without keeping jobs in CONUS, many/most US citizens will not be able to afford their products as they are forced into lower paying jobs (or no jobs at all) and cut back drastically on their spending, or worse, go further into debt, thereby exacerbating the economic chaos that is about to transpire...

Whew. I've said my peace!
Now back to our regularly scheduled programming...
