Window Cleaning
I figure it must be the best because of the good press and write-ups on it and because of the purple container. I figure if it pleasing to the eye, they must have really put extra thought into it being good for the engine too. It costs a little more but I figure that must be because it is the best. I change it around 3,000 to get the silicones from the casting out of the oil as well as all the machined engine chips etc. Thanks

Hey, thanks for the info!!! Sorry to the OP is I got a little off-topic here.
Yes, I, too, have heard some good things about that Royal Purple stuff.
Maybe I'll give it a try when I use up the stuff I use now?
My dad left me over 100 cases of a top-grade reclaimed oil (API SE/SB??) from his engine repair shop he had back in the early 1960's. I probably have enough for a few more years for both my truck and my wife's car. It is thirty weight not multi-weight like they say to use, but it still has a nice honey/amber color, and it still smells pretty good, so what the heck!?
I usually change it in late November, just before it starts to get cold up here in the foothills.
Thanks again for the insight; it is always good to read your posts here!!
