Tow mirrors! Wish I still had them, but someone else put them to use and already showed them off.

Hi,

Here's my truck with the tow mirrors showing from 3 angles. Seems to work for me looks wise. A little big, but function counts.

As stated the mirror view is awesome with these, but be aware they also block the view to the corner of the truck. I find they get in the way when cornering, often blocking visibility of the car, etc that is in the next lane. E.g. turning left in front of a car stopped that is going straight through.

I've considered switching them for standard mirrors (I don't tow big things, they just came with the truck) but I really like the rear view they provide.

My personal opinion but I hate them. They just look too bulky. There's a reason why I bought a f150 instead of a tundra.....

I think they look better on lifted trucks then stock though.

BTW................. I love the look of your truck. Nice color scheme. Would have been my choice if I went the KR route. Except the mirrors of course... LOL

Thank you for the compliments on the paint job. If ruby red was a f150 king ranch color theres a strong possibility I would have got that instead of blue. They had two ruby red super duty kr's at my dealership when I was still shopping around man were they purty

I have been really thinking hard about get the tow mirrors. I very seldom tow, but I like the view that they give. I just need to decide where to get them from.

My truck came with the standard mirrors. The first thing I did was put on the tow mirrors. I do tow a travel trailer all summer but also find the tow mirrors are so much better for day to day driving. The blind spots are eliminated and it makes backing up and parking much easier. The looks are definitely a personal preference thing and I find the smaller standard mirrors actually look funny on a truck.

I love mine. I had the factory mirrors on my 2011 FX and just got done installing the 2013 f150 (max tow) mirrors and absolutely love them.

Before

And now with the new tow mirrors installed.

I've just got the regular mirrors on my truck. I find the towing mirrors look a little dorky on the F150's unless they already have a trailer attached or the truck is lifted. That being said, I wish Ford had come out with an idea like Ram did for the 1500's where the mirror folds up and down as needed.
