Will This Buff Out?
So it's been two days and I can think about this again. Nothing major, nobody hurt but my pride.
I was going through a parking lot and was checking out the Checkers menu, seeing if they brought back my a sandwich. Most of us realize our trucks sit up kinda high. I never saw the 2nd concrete piling. I went to avoid the first one. Woulda made it too. But never saw the 2nd. Goes in for estimates tomorrow. Damage I can see is both passenger doors, door sill, and step up.

So far, my only contact with Geico was to report it and that was a nice conversation and she helped set up the repair shop. It'll be an all in one experience type of place.

The only way I could see that buffing out was if you barely brushed by it and it just rubbed some yellow paint on your truck. By the looks of it you went up against it pretty hard and the yellow pillar stole some black paint. They could possibly have to repaint a large section on the damaged side. It would probably be easier to tell if I could look at the actual truck right in front of me. Good luck with the insurance company

good news is if the body shop is cool you might be able to get some tricked out steps like some automatic ones with a lil out of your pocket to cover the difference

i would replace both of the doors and the running boards and then have the bottom fixed where i live i call ford a bout an 09 on the drivers doors and they told me $700 dollars a piece but they said they would give me a discount to about half of that so instead of 1400 for both it wouldve been like 700 for both and the 09 is the same as the 2010 so they would prob be the same o and the other doors doesnt come with the window and all of that you have to use your old one

Nope.
Surely you jest. All the 'buffing' in the world, will never replace missing paint.

Not sure about LA; but in CA, you could never get a cop to respond to a minor property damage only accident (PDO) on private property, let alone take a report.
Even on a street or hwy, in most cities now, e.g. Los Angeles City, LAPD will not respond for even major PDO's unless there are injuries, other than just complaint of pain.
