Default will a 235/75/17 fit on a 17x9 wheel

i was wondering if my factory size 235/75/17 tire would fit on a aftermarket 17x9 wheel i think the factory wheel is a 17x7 thanks

it would fit but it would be like the tuner tires that put small tires on wide rims

yeah thats what i was affraid of not the look i want just want to use up the factory tires but hate factory wheels

The factory wheel's should be 7.5 inches wide...check your door jamb sticker. Tires will fit on the 9 inch wheel but will be stretched width wise and may wear quickly. Good excuse to get some 285x70x17's later!
