Default wife stole my truck...

Not exactly stole... But she confiscated it from me today hyperfocusing on mulching. 09 f150 4X4. Scab... 6.5 bed. How much mulch will fit in my bed and is she going to overload my truck? Lol. Never hauled mulch before so i dont know what to expect. Especially not being there.

Mulch isn't that heavy unless it saturated with water. I wouldnt sweat it, just have her watch how much it squats when they are loading it and use common sense.

Bulk. Im reading online around 500-800 lbs per cu yard depending on moisture... If that's the case. No problem. Lady at the mulch place told me a little over a ton. Which sounded a little heavy to me.

You'll be able to fit about 1.5 CY in the back, and it will handle fine. If you've got a ways to go with it, be sure to even out the load after they dump it in, half-way pack it down, and then wet down the top of it with a hose. Wetting it down really helps it from blowing out and losing a half a yard on the way home.

You'll probably only be able to get 1 cubic yard in there. I've done that with my old truck with no problem. I usually get more than that and I use my trailer for it. Usually get 3 cubic yards in the trailer.

I just did my yard last week. Two trips at 2 yards per trip with a 5.5 foot bed. It was up over the rails a little but the truck handled it fine. Don't sweat it.

Ok. Its only back roads top speed 40-45 mph. Probably 5 miles if that. The lady at he plAce had me nervous when she said a yard is a little over a ton. And i know our beds are deep. (which is awesome)

Thanks for the input. I appreciate it. When she wants something done she has to do it like now. Im like just wait til i get off work we'll figure out what we need etc etc. She's off on Thursday and just wanted to start. Haha. Good news.. I wont have to shovel it all. Hopefully she's Damn near done by 4 and has some Budweisers waiting for me
