Widest tire for 2012 stock XLT 4x4 Supercrew?
I know there is the tire fitment guide sticky, but there are so many posts, it is really impossible to find the answer.
I just want to know the widest tire size that will fit on stock 17" rims without any rubbing.
I drive on the sand alot, and wider is better. I am okay with the tire being taller too, but the width is more important.

width is a realative number to hieght, because the aspect ratio 285X(70)X18 is based on 70% of 285.. so if you change just the 285 to 295 then the ratio of 70% is wider because 70% of 295 is more than 70% of 285... Now I know that has not answered your question and now your scratching your head saying WTF? The real answer is 11.5 inches about max width based on a stock wheel and stock factory offset... A 12 inch wide tire will rub.......thats how close it is...... So in standard english a 33X11.50X17 fits...... on a stock 4wd truck....
