I didn't know they sold so many different shin protectors! Video Link: http://www.amazon.com/Hitch-Doktor-Ultimate-Protector-Resistant/dp/B004QLRKLQ Shin Shield: Soft Hitch:
I suppose that so many are oblivious these days that even more safety products are necessary.
If it's such an issue, why don't oblivious people buy these?
They even come in different colours ;-)

Still going to hurt like **** - even with the pad.
Lol. Its so terrible. I wouldn't wish that hurt on my worst enemy. I would wish herpes on them, but not a smack on the shin, because that heals...

I've never walked into a trailer hitch. I've had one on my truck since I got and my dad has had one on his truck ever since I can remember. I don't see how this is such a common problem.

Indeed, people are dumb, lol! I did it once when I first put mine in. that's all it takes, you learn quick! My dad never had one, back then they put the ball on the bumper because it wasn't plastic. There were no receiver hitches, lol

I walked into my old trucks one when I first got it a few times but I'm used to shin hits from soccer. No pain no gain!

I didn't read all 30 pages to see its been said but in most states it is illegal to leave the hitch while unhooked. My cousin had someone with a $100,000+ horse trailer hit and catch on his parked truck with the hitch out and he was liable

Horse trailer would have been way to close in my opinion.
