Default Why are the Ford Reps that participate on this site so quiet about F150 brake problem

I sometimes see Ford Motor company reps step in on problems folks are having with their trucks. On the, how shall we say widespread and often posted about brake problems they are missing in action. Is this another acknowledgement that bad brakes are "normal" on F150's?

Can't answer why they don't step in on those questions. I wouldn't consider it an acknowledgement though.

I'm not brand loyal, but I do prefer Ford over most. But brakes are not Ford's strong suit in my opinion by a long shot. I've worked for Ford for 6 years, heard the same opinions from the ford techs. I read in a motor trend article once, "Ford keeps forgetting that brakes are part of driving. "

What brake problem? I didn't have any brake problems on my 2006, 2011 or 2014.

Maybe they suddenly go missing in action after their brakes failed and they crashed.

I think they are talking about the front end shaking when you apply the breaks-

my 2014 does this-... only problem i know of.

You realise that the forums is a small minority of truck owners and that other manufacturers have had 1/2 ton trucks with brakes that burn out and warp " too early" right? Namely GM. I know because I had one and saw the same thing on their forums.

I envy you in the fact that everything in your life is perfect and the only thing you could find to complain about is your brake vibration. I could warp the carbon ceramic brakes on a Ferrari the way I drive. You wouldn't find me on here bitching about it. Its a $400 fix that happens, and when it did I upgraded brakes to slotted and race pads and couldn't be happier. No reason to start 3 new threads every day about the same problem...

One of the functions of forums like this is to provide feedback on how a product performs. Companies in right order should monitor and in right order carry out corrections in design.
My brakes have vibrated pretty bad about 1/3rd of the time I have owned my truck. I am 64 and do not drive my truck in a way to be hard on its brakes.
I seldom tow anything and when I do it weighs less than 1,000 pounds. So in other words the brakes on my truck are not even able to stop its empty weight without exhibiting shaking through the steering wheel and frame. Every time I drive my truck my wife asks me why it is shaking. I paid for the top level extended service plan which included brake service. The Dealer tells me that shaking brakes is "normal". If I knew that the extended service plan does not really cover brakes, I would not have bought it.
I like to get what I pay for.

I warped my rotors at 6000 miles. Replaced em with EBC rotors, now have 60k and no vibrations. No sweat. My wife asks why the truck stops a 100, I tell her the tuner will be here on Monday, chill.
