After spending a year overseas in a third world country, and driving all the military and TMP vehicles they give us, I realized I no longer needed the "nicest"interior. We have bare bones Land Cruisers we beat the heck out of and I really came to enjoy the simplicity of them. I guess for me, I had to remove myself from all the bells and whistles to realize how much I really didn't need. Granted, I got the FX luxury 402A package so I'm not exactly hurting either

If someone put keys to a brand new fully loaded 2015 F150 next to the keys of my truck on the table and said I could take whichever one I wanted--no money, no questions asked--I'd grab my truck keys and drive away with a smile on my face. Call me crazy all you want, but I have the exact truck I want.

There are things I like about the new '15 model: new tailgate step design, the bed lights, 360 degree camera, puddle lights under the mirrors, being able to lower the tailgate by pushing button on fob. And there are things I strongly dislike about the new F150: body lines scream Ram to me and I straight up don't like them (even worse in person), design of back sliding window, the lower two tone color available is too dark, the new front end and grill, etc. The main point being I just do not like the exterior body lines at all from the Ram spoiler on top of the tailgate to the random bend in of the sheet metal a couple inches below the top of the bed and below the windows of the cab, to the body lines on the hood... Some people are skilled at taking pictures (dubseed for example) that make them look better and I'm sure I'll adjust more to it when I start seeing them everywhere I look, but still. Quite honestly I prefer the exterior looks of the 14+ Silverados/Sierras than the 15 F150 from a body line perspective.

In the end, all of that is irrelevant though. I absolutely love my truck. In a couple weeks will be the five year anniversary of buying Ace, and I still couldn't be more happy with my purchase. I even finally finished doing everything I want to it--new tires, leveling kit, finally got the bed mat, etc (need to update my pics on here!). All these new trucks are great (not just referring to Ford), and I love looking at all of them. But none of them compare to me to my truck because it's exactly what I wanted and I've made it mine with mods but more importantly with memories. My truck is going nowhere for at least five more years *fingers crossed* and I'm happy as a clam about that

What bothers me the most, is from twenty yards away I was scrambling to figure out if that was a new f150 , or a new tundra.
It was a Ford, but just the fact I couldn't tell till I got close. Doesn't sit well with me.
One more really superficial thing. I understand the functionality theory, but the two side vents, look backwards to me. If the two middle ones were square, I could almost deal with it, but opposing vents...,I just can't.
I don't own one, I should shut up, but nothing made me second guess my 05 and my 13. This new one..makes me think to much about, if I could learn to like this and get used to that.
Idk, there's a lot to like too.

I like my my truck but I'd pick up the keys to the 15!

I really like the body style and I think the added lines are a design feature to eliminate one of the biggest complaints of our trucks and that is the floppy sheet metal doors. Adding the crease adds rigidity and prevents the large door skins from flopping all over when you close he door.

I may be crazy but I'm a fan of the more edgy look, I like the look of the tundra so this sits well with me.

As to the rear window, I somewhat agree, but it's better than the framed rear slider. BUT Toyota hit the nail on the head with the whole rear window going down with no slider! That's my favorite, best of both worlds as I hate the look of the slider and prefer one piece rear glass and the whole window goes down giving you plenty of air if needed.

I had a 13 that was closing in on two years old. It was a truck I settled on, not what I wanted but more what I could afford.

Almost two years later life is good. I saw my sales rep and he asked about my truck. I replied that I was interested in upgrading. He asked what I wanted. I replied 4x4, red, 6.5 bed. I called him two days later and said I was coming in. We never talked model year or trim level, just 4x4, red and 6.5 bed.

I pulled up and saw a 2104 STX 4X4 Sport, Race Red. I wondered if it was mine. I hoped it was. It was.

I would never have got this deal on a 15. I paid near 12k less than sticker. I loved it before i knew it was mine.

I dislike the front end on the 15's, I don't care for the interior style. I really don't like the tailgate.

The 14 looks awesome, it is so smokin' hot. NO way I regret buying this truck.

Prettiest truck in Knoxville, it is.
