Ain't worth a damn in the dirt but it does real good on the highway. My Dad bought this bike new in 1972. I found it in 2012 and spent a year getting it put back together. Of all the bikes I've had this one is my favorite.

i like the changes. not really into the vstar classic stock look.

my riding history has been a 98 bandit 600s, 2006 gsxr 750, and currently a 2011 vn900 custom.

i went to the cruiser in hopes of a more comfortable ride and in some ways it is. but having taken extended 3+ hour rides on it, it just doesn't cut it and you get pretty miserable a couple of hours in. for shorter hour, hour and a half rides its sweet and it handles great. but it will beat you to death on long trips, especially on bad roads.


seriously considering getting a different bike, i just can't decide if i want to go back to a sport bike or get a larger cruiser. ive thought about an in between like the fz1r, gsx1250fa (bandit renamed in 2011) but even then im just not sure. local dealer has a gsx1250fa (2011 brand new, sitting on their showroom for the passed few years) that they seem to be having trouble moving. currently marked at $7999 im considering seeing if they might make a deal on it.

but im just not sure i want that bike. decisions decisions.
