No, it will not run badly, but the speedo will be off, as will your fuel consumption and distance to empty calculations. I installed that tire size on my new 2013 F150 and the truck runs and drives perfectly - once I changed the tire pressure.

The people who installed the tires pumped them up to 80 psi - 35 is where I am running them.

Not all trucks are having this issue. I have successfully programmed the 315 70 17 tire size (which is the raptor stock configuration in several trucks, one being an 05 and the other being my 2010) I have done MANY MANY other tire size changes. If you have ever touched IDS you would know that it lists certain tire sizes, it doesn't state or say raptor/fx4 etc etc

So on that note you are wrong, Im sure you will try and google info or try and dispute what I have said, please do. You can not dispute hands on experiences, especially since I was the tech who did all our customers lifts and programming.

To the OP, no the hyper tech does not void the warranty. All it does is changes the signal from the ABS sensor to the VSS thus correcting the speedo by adjusting the parameters in the PCM. Like with any programmer if you go into the dealer for a flash or electronic work you will want to put the stock size back in to prevent them from flashing and overwriting the adjustment.
I can tell you for certain that he described my experience with a 2013 F150 EcoBoost. If you doubt me, email me and I'll send you the screen shots showing that they changed to various choices, and the changes were accepted - but nothing actually changed.

OK, All fixed by HyperTech

I bought the HyperTech Speedometer Calibrator. At my age, modern technology is a little intimidating but I managed to update the unit software without any problem.

Be aware that, although the unit works wonderfully well (maybe three or four mintes), at one point in the process you will hear a pop, and your dash lights will go out, as if it blew a fuse. It turns out to be a normal part of the process; I just mention it because it is a little disconcerting when you are sitting in a brand new $40K vehicle.

In the end, everything is calibrated perfectly. I am showing 22+ mpg at 70MPH, and speed/distance is verified as accurate by my Garmin.
