I have a dealer loaner, 2014 3.7 on a 2wd screw, first impression.. Not a bad engine. I personally don't think it belongs in a large truck like the screw but a regular cab, I can see it haul butt. I do love the engine in my wife's 2011 Lincoln mkx, 305HP 280TQ! not bad pushing 4400 pounds!

Busey...the guys on here can be a little abrasive at times...sometimes a LOT of the time lol, but in contrast to the other F150 sites that I belong to, there is a plethora of knowledge here and they are willing to share it promptly.
Lots of good folk here, even if they do try to measure their e-peen too frequently...
Did you get the tuner thing figured out?

I'm glad it's a plug and play affair. Actually I am pretty excited about the ease of installation and having the ability to change the settings for city/highway trips. I think I will probably end up with a nicer lcd model and find a cool way to mount it in my center console. Thanks again for your helpful words.

I got a '14 3.7 and I like it. It has plenty enuf power for me. Getting about 19 mpg rite now at times. Nary a problem with it yet. Only has about 3800 miles on it.

I hate seeing all the road salt all over my truck. I had to have the rocket panels done on my old truck because they rusted out completely. I think a little preventative action will save me a bill in the future. New England winters are hard on the finish and steel.
Anyone one else have a rusty axle? I have low miles and my rear axle housing and a few bolts in the rear are rusty. My old truck had a ton of miles with now rust. I might paint it if it keeps bugging me... Which it does!

I cleaned the thread up a little... Seems like you all got it lined out though

3.7 leveled mpg BAD!
My 2014 3.7 averages; 16-17mpg on the freeway and 12-13 on the streets! Horrible but that's the price you pay when you put 18' rims on 34' tires with a leveling kit.

Just put 20x9 wheels with a 4 ply 33" tire lost about 3-4 mpg. I didnt think the fuel economy would take such a dump especially since i went with 4 ply tires instead of 10 ply. Must be all the rolling resistance with the all terrain tread pattern.
