Or; Tow, haul and use it like a truck with no problems what so ever. Leave the fake badges of and be proud to own a truck that is very capable of taking care of business all on it's own.

If you have something too heavy or too big (as you say) for the 3.7 V6 engine, you probably are trying to use an F-150 for a task meant for a heavier duty truck.

The 3.7 has plenty of power to haul or tow anything in the working range of an F-150.

Anyone that ever tried to tow a lightwight rv (5k lbs) knows that its white knuckle torture with anything less than a 5.0 or an eb. Don't kid yourself, the 3.7 is good for moving furniture, hauling trash, etc. Anything big and lightweight.

I towed a ~6000 lb camper around Wisconsin last summer in my 3.7L without "white knuckling". Plenty of power and I just did the speed limit on the interstate. My manual says 5800lbs tow but that's gotta be artificially suppressed. My temps were fine, I never struggled, I never once felt the camper was too much for it.

Mine is a huge improvement over my old 4.2. I haven't towed anything with it yet. As long as it handles my car and trailer for short distances(sub 50 mile) I should be fine.

Love mine, tows my ~2,500# boat like it's not there. I don't get the MPGs some guys are reporting however, about 17 mpg lifetime, but I tow a lot and get stuck in a fair amount of stop and go. Still gets better than my old 4.0 2001 ranger and is WAY more truck. Very Happy with my "little" F150.

ya ya ya.........disregard the load capability data, Ford made a full size truck that can only haul a 50lb couch. Give me a break already......You have what 6 or 7 more horses so that means 300+ horses is for patty cake only.

Sounds delusional to me.

Anyone thinking about the 3.7.........its a strong motor, FLEX fuel and good mileage...

I towed a 6800 lb Chev, and I didn't once think that I was white knuckling... To say that anything else than a 5.0 or ecoboost isn't good enough just shows how ignorant you are..
