Where to tap into speaker wires?
Just was wondering where I could tap into the rear speaker wires for running an aftermarket amp and sub? Are they under the front door sill plates? Have seen some pictures of other members on here tapping into there but they never said what speakers they were for? Any info would be great, thanks!

i plan on pulling my rear speakers out completly and getting some of the wiring adapters for speakers to tap into for the line out convertor. the rear speakers in my regular cab are mounted low on the floor and i cant even hear them.

Do yourself a favor and get rid of what ever you are trying to install by splicing into the rear speakers. I went that route and did not like where it was going.
It looks like you have a 2011 so a lot of guys including myself went this route.

I know it dosent come up listed for the 2011 but it works. Its plug and play and requires no splicing. All you have to do is run your ground and the RCA's. Its that easy.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I did the 'tap into speaker wires' when I installed my powered sub. How is that Pac-Audio interface better? I get its a cleaner install, and no cutting factory wires. It took me a few weeks of adjusting the ***** on the side of the amp to get it to sound good. Does this take that away and do it automarically? Understand I'm not being a smart *** as some can be on this forum, I dont have any aftermarket audio upgrade knowledge and merely copied someone elses idea.

I've heard mixed reviews about the PAC only thing I'm doing is adding two sound ordnance b8pt's and a audiocontrol lc2i. PAC audio doesn't recommend the harness for 2011and 2012 f150s. So question still stands?

I tapped into the right rear speaker wires in the rf door sill. I would suggest you use the left rear and right rear since you're installing 2 subs. Wire color for the right rear is
brown/white (+) and brown/blue (-) and left rear is white/green (+) and brown/yellow (-). look in the harness before the b-pillars, in the front door sills. they usually twist the two wires together.
