Default Where to put spare???

I got my AS 2.5" Spacer and AAL installed last night (post coming soon). Alignment and Terra Grappler G2 295/70r18's are getting installed right now. The problem is, the bigger tire on the spare will NOT fit in the stock location. I never thought about that, and in hindsight I should have only bought 4 instead of all 5. Either way, has anyone else ran into this and what are they doing about it?

Edit- 2013 XLT Screw 4x4 5.0

Thanks!!

The tire guys said there was no way it is going in because of the heat shield and the hitch. They won't put it in :-/

Leave the truck stock and then you won't have to worry about it

Throw it in the bed, and try it when you get home in the spare location!

I bought an nfab tire carrier for my bed. It would not fit with mt dual exhaust. I think it would have been close with stock exhaust. The raptor fits a 34 under there...

The heatshield touching the tread ain't going to hurt the tire none. If it was touching the sidewall I'd be worried but not the tread. Mine has been close if not touching for over a year and the spare looks new in that spot. No melting.

Ford tech and Tire guy, both "suggested" that my dual exhaust might be too close to the spare. Muffler guy said wrap exhaust pipe with heat tape in the vicinity of where tire / pipe are too close ... also put a layer of tape on the spare tire where it might be hot. (scub dirt off tire and tape WiILL stick. ) I've had mine that way for a year. Tape is still in place. All is well.
