Where does the other end of this ground strap go?
There is a ground strap on the firewall above the heater hoses. It appears to go behind the engine. Where exacgly does it go? Pics a plus. I really need to get this hard start, engine codes, poor fuel economy thing figured out. All 4 cam position sensors are complaining and the crank shaft position sensor is complaining as well. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...18b65ed5fd.jpg

See if this helps. I don't know what year you have, so I just guessed with a 2013. I would assume the harnesses are similar.

Thank YOU Very helpful. I still want to know about the other end of that ground strap. It looks like to goes to the upper end of the back of the block but Where? I ran one towards the bottom of the block because it was all I could access with limited tools it did not help. I also saw what looks like a grounding stud not far above the starter Like maybe the ground strap goes there?

Now can someone tell me about the cam position sensors. We have 2, a 2wire and a 3 wire. Is the 2 wire ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS exhaust and the 3 wire ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS intake? If so bank 2 is bass akwards and probably my whole problem. Who can verify this?

diagram for 13' 5.0 shows 3-wire as intake and 2-wire as exhaust

Yep some engine installer got in a hurry. I'll fix it this week. HOPEFULLY I can talk the wife into a little more time to do it tonight.
|
what are the codes?
"If so bank 2 is bass akwards" What is "bass akwards"? The sensors themselves are installed in the wrong location? |
Edit: do to brain fart....lol
