Where to buy painted door handles

You have a couple of options. First would be to paint your own handles. This is the cheapest.
Second would be to buy some aftermarket covers and paint them.
Third would be to by some miracle find some already painted that matches your color and is priced fairly low. You have a better chance of catching a three legged unicorn.
And the last(at least that I can think of) is to buy new handles ready to paint as they don't come painted from Ford and they are expensive.

If by the dealer, you mean Ford in general, they only offer painted bezels with chrome handles (these are expensive and in low stock for some colors. Some handles like the tailgate or rear passenger handles for certain colors aren't even available anymore). Not painted bezels and painted handles.

I kept my chrome handles, and painted the buckets/ bezels. It was quite the process since I had textured black handles to start with. I sanded all that down so it was smooth and down to 400 grit.

You best bet for pre-painted stuff at reasonable prices is something like car-part.com which is a junkyard search engine. You might just get lucky and find all four from one yard. I'd have gone this route with my brother's truck which we are de-chroming, but they are pricey and a PITA to swap out. We got the cheap Ebay covers and he's going to have them painted to match along with some other parts. Obviously covers are not as nice as painted OEM handles, but it's way cheaper and easier.

No worries. I rolled that option over in my head many times as well as searching junk yard websites, ebay, craigslist, etc. I'll just buy a truck with the options I want when I can afford it.

I bought some PTM mirror caps, door handles and tailgate handle from tascaparts.
A local body shop painted them for $200 and let me keep the other half pint of paint. I removed and installed the parts to save on cost.
