Default When should you flush ATF?

I am at 65k miles on my 2013 eco, and wondering what's the best practice for transmission maintenance? Is it time yet to change the fluid? What are the Do's and Dont's?

You should drop the pan, change filter, fluid, and bulkhead connector before 75k.

2011 F150, XLT SCab w/ 3.7

Did mine at 155,xxx-ish, dropped the pan and the fluid was brown, looked awful and smelled "burned", replaced the filter and was only able to put 6-7 quarts back in it... ran it to about 180,xxx-ish and dropped the pan again.. fluid was still not the pretty red color of new fluid... again, new filter and another 6-7 quarts... I'm at 201,xxx now and will do it again this spring...

yes, the manual says 150,000 however, for 1-2 hours labor and less then $100 parts, why not??? what's a trany or trany rebuild cost?

If i had had the option, I'd have done it at 75K

Tip for you... once the fluid starts showing on the dipstick, go slow on the fluid. less then a quart will fill it up, be sure to let it run and get warm/hot. Also, those little bolts holding the pan on are AL, they will strip/snap easy...

good luck

What dip stick? Can't be reached without crawling under the truck and risking 3rd degree burns on the exhaust trying to check fluid level.
