I do the same thing with my super saver gas card. If you spend 100.00 on groceries you get .25 off of a gallon. You've got to buy groceries anyways. I'll get my fuel a little cheaper.

Most of these trucks are $30-$50,000 rigs. It blows my mind that people still spend their time trying to find a cheaper gas station in town to fill up at. I might be in the minority, but I'll pay an extra 15 cents/gallon ($4.50 for 30 gallons) for my time and convenience.
Maybe some of us (myself included) are able to afford $30-$50,000 trucks because we find ways to save money in other areas (the cost of fuel for example).

Wow now I really don't like seeing threads about people complaining about MPGs. I WISH I could get a tank of gas for anywhere near $100. At home I'm paying $1.32 a litre which works out to be $4.77 a gallon... And it gets worse, beginning of summer the highest it got was $1.51 which is $5.46 a gallon.

Ontario sucks for gas , I live in Cambridge Ontario and whenever I go to buffalo for a day trip I fill up my truck and I'm the happiest person that I saved huge money and I keep seeing people in the u.s. complain gas is to expensive ,let switch for 1 week

1/4 tank here. Don't like the multiple transactions to fill up. Costs even more getting dinged for each time I use a card. Normal price in Nanaimo BC is around 1.35/liter.
Watch your gas stations in some of the border states Canadians. When I lived in White Rock, I'd go to Blaine for groceries and gas. Had to take my tools to adjust my carb on my 81 Camaro Z-28. Couldn't get back to the border without it stalling.

I usually wait until 1/4 or about 40 MTE. With as much driving as I do (work truck) I'm filling up 1-2 times each week. In the almost 4 months I've owned the truck I'm already over 12k.

Usually around the first of the month unless I am down to 50 MTE or less on the tripmeter. That only happens when I make trips. I usually fuel up at Krogers now days. Last month I saved $33 dollars on a tank of gas because we got 1000 points from shopping. Funny thing is I bought $250 worth of Home Depot gift cards there & they had a special on 4x the fuel points on gift card purchases. No way would I normally spend $1000 on groceries in a month. When the threat of snow & ice increases this winter I will likely keep at least 1/2 a tank in there for convenience and extra rear weight.

THIS!

Plus when I'm in town I only keep my tank 1/2 full. Don't need that extra 100+ lbs by filling the tank. Now that winter is coming, I do keep it full at all times.

Now that gas has lowered most stations took the limit on CC off so no more goin inside at $50!
