2013 Video Input on MFT not working
long time lurker. great board here. i finally have a question.
is there some trick to getting video to play on the MFT screen through the composite AV inputs? even when parked i cant get anything to work. ive tried an ipad with the special cable (with and without usb), a dvd player, and even an original nintendo. i am getting audio with the nintendo and dvd but no video. i am getting nothing with the ipad.
thanks in advance. i am stumped.

Was the iPad on or off before connecting it? I recommend having it off prior to connecting, select the A/V input from the screen, then turn the device on.
1. Switch off the engine, radio and portable music player. Set the
parking brake and put the transmission in position P.
2. Attach one end of the audio extension cable to the headphone output
of your player and the other end into the adapter in one of the two
left A/V input jacks (white or red) inside the center console.
3. Press the lower left corner on the touchscreen. Select either a tuned
FM station or a CD (if there is a CD already loaded into the system).
4. Adjust the volume as desired.
5. Turn the portable music player on and adjust the volume to 1⁄2 the maximum.
6. Press the lower left corner on the touchscreen. Select the A/V In tab.
(You should hear audio from your portable music player although it
may be low.)
Thanks!

Try connecting your iPad via USB as well as through the A/V jacks.
Keep in mind, in order for this feature to work, the vehicle must be parked.
I do, however, recommend having your dealership further investigate as you're having the same experience with multiple devices.
