Default Wheel Damage

I apparently hit a curb or something pretty hard. Anyone think this could be repaired at all or needs replacement. The dealer automatically told me i need replacement.

Do a Google search for "wheel repair" and you will see examples of much worse damage repaired. The one below I heard good things about on another forum. Should save you a lot of coin. Good luck.

I would search on craigslist. There are lots of people looking to unload stock wheels at a good price. Check ebay also. I would feel better having a replacement, even if it is used, than having a damaged wheel that was repaired.

That can be fixed. I have seen wheels with a lot more damage get fixed.

you would not believe how many wheels are returned to dealerships as bad becuase they get dented up, and are simply destroyed in the end...

I agree with you. Talked to the dealer and they were very reluctant to think this might have been something from the factory.

I've had some luck using a dremel tool to smooth out a similarily banged up rim. The deepest gouges are there to stay, but the rest could be smoothed out to the point that it's only noticeable if you look closely. Not going to look like new, but will not be that noticeable .. if it still bothers you, mount it on the front and brake dust will cover it up fast enough ...
