I know of another scenario that plays out exactly the same. Marriage. LOL!!! My 2nd wife knows what I'm talking about. Yeah I'm a glutton for punishment.

Hey Comp- I know you mentioned this in previous post elsewhere but to be clear. When you disconnect the BSM you obviously bypass the ability for the truck to start shedding heavy load's when voltage gets down. On the flip side does your alternator now charge at full 14.xx volts full time or is that still managed by an independent regulator based on battery state and current load?

I'm running an Odyssey AGM Extreme battery which stays on an AGM BatteryMinder when not driven. This charger floats the battery at 14.7V which is what Odyssey likes. If I disconnect my ring will I get the full alt charge whenever the truck is running keeping the battery closer to the VDC it likes?

When the BMS detects the fault (disconnected sensor) it defaults to full regulated alternator output, 14.?v I seem to remember when I connected a meter to see. No other management just a good ole fashion charging system.

Attempted to disconnect the electrical connection for the BMS from the negative battery cable, but can't figure out how the connector is removed. Is there a video to show how? Looked at Utube but didn't see anything.

I think he's trying to remove the whole thing. No need to do that, just unclip and disconnect the electrical connector.

OK. I can't see the tab, so I guess it is underneath the connector. A screwdriver should do it I think. Thank you.
