As stated. What's faster in a drag. My f150 has edge evo ht on extreme tune with a spectre intake and a flow master exhaust on 33" tires, his truck has the 5.3 with a bully dog tuner andiintake and exhaust on 33" tires....who would you think would win in a drag. I feel like it would be him.?

What gear ratio?
Who's been drag racing longer?
What's the weight of each vehicle?
Running in cooler or warmer weather?
My point to all of these questions is that these are all things that can effect times/races. You can have a super fast car get beat by a slower car just because one of the variables.
Just take it to the track for a day and have fun running them side by side.

I have 3.73 i believe. His are unknown. I have a 4 full door his has 2 full and 2 suicide doors in the back. I've been dragging longer but this vehicle is new too me. And it would probably be mid night race so anywhere from 10-15 Celsius

he is probably 500 lbs lighter or more. it will be close, a toss up. you have more torque but Chevy winds up quicker. just run him on the track not the street. my 2000 F150 Supercab 4wd Lariat w/3.55 would out run 96-98 Chevy Vortec 350 w/3.42. that engine made it's hp at upper rpms both hp and torque. drive by wire in those years sucked, I know I fell for the hype and bought a 97 3dr Silverado 4wd with 3.73. an was a pig.

How about you go race and find out?

All mods being equal he should take it with a bit more hp and less weight than your truck. Unless the gear ratio is in your favor then it might be close. Be sure and keep us updated when you line em' up.

I'm sure people said the same thing about the older cars. "They aren't for racing!" Well, if you can race a big rig, why not a daily driver? It's all in fun until you start doing massive mods for track times.
