Took my Bronco to South Dakota on a prairie dog hunt with buddies. 1st time there and had no idea if there would be a grill there, soooooo I put my game carrier on and strapped my large propane grill onto it and strapped it down! all the way out and back. Turns out that charcoal grills where there so the next year we went that route. I am pretty sure we looked like the Clampitts entering Beverly Hills, but hey, we where more heavily armed than a 3rd world country so no worries!

Finally got to pull something with mine. A coworker just left my desk one day last week. About 6PM so it was dark/ Pouring the rain. About 5 minutes later, he called. Twice. Never connected. Then on the third try we connected. He asked what I was doing. I said I was in the same place i was when he left! He then asked, rather calmly, if we had a chain (we are in a maintenance dept. for a tier 1 auto supplier). I asked why. He said "I went in the ditch and need a tug". So, I closed down my pc, went into the shop looking for a strap. No luck so I lugged an 11,000 lb rated chain I ordered long ago after we had to extract a forktruck from the grass at work. So, with chain in the bed, i went down the road about a mile to where he said he was- by the interstate entrance ramp. I figured it couldnt be bad. He has an AWD Ford Edge. Anyway, as I approach the ramp entrance I see three vehicles with their flashers on so I slow down looking for the Edge. As i pass by very slowly, I make out the roof of the Edge OVER THE HILL about 20 feet down off of the road in the grass. I get turned around and just laughed. I had one guy block traffic as I back over the hill to reach him with the chain. He wraps it around the rear control arm and all I had to hook to was the safety chain hook on the hitch. I jumped in the truck, put it in 4lo with locker engaged and basically idled him back to the road. The bystanders were impressed and honestly so was I. I wish I would have had a picture of how far over the hill he was.
Anyway, long winded but thats my story so far. And the french fry thing is too funny.

I used to be like that. Then the divorce came and the house and family were no more. I see my son only on weekends and I let him eat in the truck. Now when I drop him off on Sunday night and I'm driving alone, sometimes I look at his empty seat and see crumbs and I smile.
Life's too short.

Coming back to Kansas from Yellowstone park, wanted to go by way of Rapid City, SD to see Mount Rushmore. Teenager in the car has a thing for dinosaurs and we began to see lots of ads for "Dinosaur Park" and decided to go see it.
A little 2(?) lane black top winds up and down and around and around a 2,000 foot tall zit that surely can't be more than 500' wide at the base? At one point, although I am 6' tall, even raising up till my head hit the roof, I could not see the road in front of the truck! The hill crested so abruptly and turned left around the big zit that with the truck stopped in the road - the only thing to be seen in front of the truck is air and the floor of the valley 2,000 feet below us. I finally had to get out and walk to the crest of the hill to see that the road really did go from very steep up to very steep down and sharply left.
Got back in the truck and feeling a little woozy, slowly and gently crept up to the crest and over it completely blind and finally could see road again.
Of course after all that, get to the dinosaur park and discover it has 3 or 4 plastic dinosaurs and a gift store! What a rip! Fortunately, the ride up there and down again was kinda fun. I recommend it, whether you like dinosaurs or not.

Over the holidays a friend and me went and had some fun in an empty snow filled parking lot, doing some drifting and donuts and all that good stuff. I somehow managed to burn through 3/4 of a tank in just over an hour
But man was it ever worth it! haha

I took delivery of my F150 about a week before my youngest son graduated high school.
Lets just say that he played an intricate part in the break in period! I do think the owners manual said to vary throttle input?
