you'll be fine. don't worry about it. 3.73 is more than enough gear considering that a 295/65R18 is 33" tall. stock is just under 32".

and between an 8.5" and 9" wheel you won't even be able to tell a difference. a 9" wheel is 228mm wide so it's not like you'd be stretching the sidewalls if you did go with the 275's.

well if hes only going from a 32 to a 33 tire and has 3.73 gears, it shouldnt be that bad.
BUT, i went from 32.7 to 34.4 with my 5.4 liter engine and i can notice a pretty big difference.[stock is 31], pretty sure i cant roast the rear tires any more but on the bright side i mite be getting huge mpg gains!

A 295/65/18 is over 33 inch tire. Over 2 inches bigger than stock. You will notice it!

I've been running 275/70/18 tires on my 18x9 wheel for the past year and I've had no problems. Whoever told u that u can't run that tire on an 18x9 wheel is blowing smoke up ur behind lol

that tire is 33.09 inches by my calculations.
if stock was 31, then 2 inches will very likely be noticeable on a 3.7 l v6

stock on my 2010 is 31.9" so it's barely over an inch. again, I went from 31.9 to 34.1 and the difference is negligible at most. and I have 3.55 gears.

here I made this a little easier. this applies to 2009+ models. not sure about 04-08.

stock 17" size 265/70R17 is 31.6.
stock 18" size 275/65R18 is 32.0.
stock 20" size 275/55R20 is 31.9.

so there you have it. he's going one inch taller than stock.

I believe base XLTs in regular and supercab come with 235/75/17 which is 30.9" I think. That's what my truck came with
