Question What's the better trim for the money in your opinion?

I can't decide between the XL, XLT, FX2, and FX4 trims. What trim do you find better for the money?

EDIT: What trim and year are the best out of the trims from 2005-2011?

STX, it has everything an xl does plus cloth seats, and cruise control, and they are about the same price as an xl and come with a v-8 not a v-6!!!!

Everyone is gonna have their own opinion, just to let you know haha. IMO, the XLT is probably the best bang for your buck as you can get just about everything else available short of leather and some other little things in a reasonably priced truck. Just my $.02

Yep, my dads trading in his 2010 decked out crew cab lariat 4x4 on a 2012 crew cab xlt 4x4, and yes for a little bit more you can an xlt, the STX IMO is just a good ole truck that you don't have to worry about getting the interior dirty, I love my vinyl floors!!!

I think you can get vinyl floors in an XLT if I remember right. I'll have to look tonight.

I have an FX4 and love it. Not to many options, but not to few.

However, today I had some time to kill before meeting some people for lunch so I pulled into a Ford dealer in hopes of checking out some FX4's to see what new options had been added. The dealership did not have any FX4's on the lot, but I did look at an XLT (XTR trim to be exact). I was quite surprised at all the options this level of trim now has.

When the times comes for me to trade off my current truck I'll definitely check out an XLT but in the end, for me, FX4 is the way to go.

Definitely the XLT's are the best bang for you buck. They have enough of the goodies but not so much that you think your in a Cadillac and not a truck.
