This is how the pros do it, works the best, less hassle. If you get a paper bill and don't pay the auto renew they send your bum *** to collections. Call and cancel instead and get the same great deal again, awesome

What did you pay for the Lifetime subscription? Is it transferable to another vehicle if you were to trade in the current truck? Thanks

They got rid of lifetime subs quite a while ago.

On an unrelated note it took me 4 god damn phone calls to get them to disable auto renew.

Called, ask to remove, yup all good.

Call back to check, he says auto is on, I say remove he says good to go.

Call back a third time, ask what my sub renew status is, STILL ON AUTO RENEW. I get a supervisor and yell a bunch. He says good to go.

Call a fourth time, guy finally says it's disabled.

I called each time to get another agent because I know they lie, I was very very pissed.

DO NOT TRUST THEIR AGENTS.

Good to know, I'll just stick to my Slacker (Internet) radio and Bluetooth.

Yeah, I was just turning auto renew off to negotiate a lower sub later. After this I'm so pissed off I may never sub to SiriusXM again.

They also renewed my sub a week early (it ends Friday), @$53.00 for 3 months to which I requested a refund which they CLAIM they did, should be back on CC in 2 days

I'll just use slacker as well or a USB drive.

I always chuckle when I see people like you taking about what a hassle it is or complaining they got sent to collections cause they got a paper invoice and ignored the auto renew bill. You have to call and cancel. The rep may tell you auto renew is shut off just to get you off the phone if you're an ***, but they can't remove it.

I used to work phone tech support for a summer job years ago when I was just out of high school so I know, it's a **** job dealing with mad Aholes and guess what, the *** never gets anything he wants and is often told anything to shut him up or simply hung up on. I worked for computer tech support for a while and then a credit card company, the computers weren't as bad but credit card people called in bitching about fees all the time and I had the ability to remove back to 6 months of fees but the authority to only go one month. Screaming Aholes were common and they didn't get any fees removed, nice normal people got them removed all the time and a couple people who were extra nice and friendly with a good sob story got 6 months of fees removed, one lady got nailed with fees all the time and she ended up getting a check back from them cause she quit using it and was almost paid off and when I took them all off there was a negative balance, lol! I hated that job and never cared if I got fired but I never did.

So next time you call tech support all pissed off just try and remember they are people too, its not their fault, they are there to help you but more likely to help if you're nice. It's no fun talking to screaming Aholes all day and they seldom get what they want anyway unless the was a mistake on the account. Most phone reps have very little power to do anything depending who you call, there are usually departments to escalate to and from being in the industry and taking to sirus a bit I'm always getting transfered to cancel or whatever so not all people can access every aspect of the system and if it's even possible to remove auto renew and still get the deal the guy giving you the deal likely can't disable it anyway.

You can scream no auto renew till you're blue in the face, they have you on recording agreeing to it when you signed up for the deal. Set a reminder in your phone calendar or write it on the one on your wall, day before call and cancel, get same deal. No hassle, not rocket science, I've been doing it for 4 years now. Or you do it your way and make 47 phone calls and get all pissed and either still have auto renew or call and cancel deal and have no radio, lol! Personally I have 2 radios and id pay full price for them both just for Jason Ellis but if they give me a deal I'll take it. You just have to be smart enough to work the system, you can't fight the system, you have to make the system work for you, it's so simple.

i use to get the bill for $160 every year, and i would call when it was time to renew and didnt really try hard and got it down to $85 a year. this year, in may, they wouldnt budge, so i cancelled.

after seeing this thread i called again. they guy kept saying we only have a $199 plan i kept on saying 6 months for $25. it was like talking to a robot. he would only say that doesnt exist. only 199. over and over again. like a tennis ball to a wall.

long story short, i called again an hour later, said no to the $199 plan, said 6 mos for $25. that new person directed me to another representative and she gave it to me no questions asked. that call lasted less than 10 minutes and no real haggling.

The best deal I had was with my wrangler. .had a Kenwood system put in it and the xm was just on...2 year's when I traded it in, it was still on..never got billed and never asked...
Honestly..just my opinion. .xm is not worth squat..even free I mostly opted for HD radio or just stream Pandora. .xm was nice as a start up...but they missed the boat for keeping up with the time's

Hey guess what, *******, I was 100% polite and civil and friendly, until the THIRD call.

Did you even read the post? My sub (which I confirmed with the guy on the phone) doesn't end until Friday. They auto-renewed a week ahead of time, last friday.

Get off your high horse and harass someone else, chucklehead.

Thanks.

$89.99 for a 6 month subscription after they charged me $108 for a 6 month subscription without my approval; even though they were specifically told not to keep our info. I then told them to eff off.
