Whats the best dual exhaust for 2010 5.4?
#21
I went to a local shop that had a special going, SI/DO flowmaster 40 with 2 1/4 inch duals and 3 1/2 inch chrome tips. Out the door for $374 and the whole thing is welded and custom fitted to my truck. Now all my male neighbors love me and their wives absolutely hate me. Loud as all get out, loud drone in the cab and I haven't stopped smiling since I got them.

I did research for a year to come up with the perfect exhaust.

Here's my flowmaster cat-back kit. For me it's the perfect volume; pull away normal and you'll only hear it for 100ft or so, romp on it and you'll hear it for 100 yards.
I'm going to take a new vid today or tomorrow, this one doesn't really do it justice:
Did you ever take that new video? I am looking for something that will give the truck that "roller cam" chug, not the "warble" boat sounding tone you usually hear. I have stainless works long tube headers and high flow cats, i was thinking of going 3" duals straight out the back of each cat. Essentially I just want to quite the engine down not "mellow" out the tone. Any video or audio is nice!!

Hey i finally got my stainless works long tubes back from the Ceramic Coater and I am almost ready to install them. One thing though, no gaskets. Whaat did you guys use on your 2010's whwn you put new headers on?

I initially went with a Banks cat back system. After about a year of drone that was so annoying my wife refused to even ride in the truck I had the banks muffler swapped out with a big flowmaster. Not sure which series Flowmaster but it was the largest one that the exhaust guy could fit. So I have a hybrid system now...Banks tubing and tip with a Flowmaster muffler. Sounds great, no more drone but still aggresive when I stomp on it.

I ended up going with the banks monster dual system also I kinda like the drone haha it only hits the drone at 2800-2900 then there's none but I love the drone haha but it's not loud drone at all on mine which is wierd I always am wishing the banks monster system was louder
