Whats do y'all think overall is the best dual cat back exhaust sound/performance wise for my 2010 5.4l im hoping to order an exhaust system soon and since money doesnt come quick at 7.50$ an hour( i only work weekends also since im in high school).

I also may be running high flow cats and long tubes by the end of summer so if any one knows what will go good with those also. Any advice would be appriciated thanks yall!

I had the Magnaflow dual exit exhaust on my '09 5.4L that sounded great. A very high quality system (stainless steel) that had a nice low growl but not instrusive and no droning. Not sure how the mufflers would work with your high flow cats and long tubes though.

I also am looking to put an exhaust system on my '09 5.4, but I'm not real knowledgable so enlighten me. I'm guessing high flow cats are different catalytic converters? And long tubes? Does that mean long tips or what? The magnaflow was one of my top choices but I don't know anybody that has them. Most people around here have flowmasters, did you ever compare yours to those? What were the differences if so?

Long tube headers are the portion of the exhaust system before the catalytic converters thats bolted up to the side of the engine and hi flow cats are faster flowing catalytic converters

Did you have a performance loss or gain with the flowmasters? Any mpg gains?

Exactly what ursmall stated; long tubes are headers and typically make a notable improvement in engine performance.

I have had both Flowmaster and Magnaflow systems. In my opinion, the Flowmasters are a tad more aggressive and typically louder (although they do have a more mellow muffler), and I have experienced significant drone with more intrusive noise into the cab with the Flows.

The Magnaflows are not as loud or pitchy, and never experienced any drone. But they have a great low end rumble that is a pleasure to listen too and come alive on WOT. I prefer the sound myself as they sound more sophisticated than the Flowmasters, but that is me.

But if you want to be heard, you can get some really aggressive Flowmasters that will do the job!
