Default What's with the 2012 Inter Coolers problems???!!!

My f-150 has been in the shop WAITING for the coolers from the manufacturer for over a week now!
Dealer said in the middle of LAST week that there were over 300 in back load ordered and had no idea when they'd be in!
I've got a "loaner" they are paying for (a crappy 2012 Silverado) in the meantime, but BOY, I miss my eco-boost!!!

Had to keep driving mine until the parts came in. Maybe there are more available now, but they ordered mine the first week of November, and it did not come in until the first week of February.

Sterlinglong, that is really sad, SAD service, 3 months, -YIKES!!!
I sure hope I am not in for the same.
Here I am, a BIG Ford loud mouth and something like this happens.
A 3 month wait on service for you, 3 weeks for Todman 34 and my dealership says
THREE HUNDRED orders are in for the part ( probably many more at this point) and you've gotta wonder
what's coming in the weeks and months to come with your truck.

Thanks guys, you're the best!

I called my dealership to make an appointment for the new TSB and CAC thinking I was going to have to wait like everybody else. To my surprise they told me to bring my truck in and they would get right on it. Only 3hrs to complete the job
Apparently my dealership has couple new TSB update kits ready for anybody who needs it. I live in the Florida panhandle and Cook Whitehead Ford is the dealership. My truck (2011 FX2 SCREW) performance is better than when it was new, just did a trip down to Tampa FL with the new update. Absolutely love it.

Glad you had a positive experience , BoostedFX!

It really irks me hearing of the other's problems and what I could be facing with my own.

In the meantime, as we wait, we still have to make our truck payments on time,
pay our insurance,
pay an excise tax .
I paid a sales tax when I bought it and now that I own it I am required to pay a tax every year on it (and it's been like this for years in Taxachusetts)!

Oh yea Truck Owner, I know it all to well.
I don't want this thread to get too off topic, but, I will add that we here who do work, pay for more and more hand outs and nobody in the State House wants to figure out how to pay the billions we owe in debt.
They just keep adding new programs, (as do the feds) and add to the dept.

Everybody into the wagon, I'll pull it!

O.K. ENOUGH,
I've had another Taxachusetts ranting episode, sorry, I'll be o.k.

NOW,
Back to the poor service at Ford Motor Company, please!

I have been waiting for one month so far. Went by the dealer the other day to check on eta and was told no word on when and that they had about a half dozen trucks waiting for the new parts.

You sound just like my cousins. From what most guys post about the IC, there on backorder some are saying March, some are getting them in now (end of Feb). I think there are thousands on back order. Hope you get yours in soon so they can put latest greatest parts on it. I got a 13 Eb so springtime will be interesting for me. I might be in line in a few months!
