What's with the 2012 Inter Coolers problems???!!!

Just left the dealership.
Talked with the NEW truck manager about my concerns and he was very nice, so I didn't come down hard on him. And then I noticed somebody about 15 feet away and I said, " Oh, look, there's my friend Jerry."
The manager turns to look and then looks back at me and says "You, know Jerry? He's the owner!"
And then I say much louder "Oh sure we chat all the time!" Now, that's a little stretch maybe, but he looks up, comes over and shakes my hand and asks how's it going etc and then asks the manager if there's any problem I might be having. The manager repeats everything to him. "Jerry" says he was unaware of any major problems with the eco-boost and he tells the manager to get me some accurate info and to get on it and Jerry says "I'll look into it as well,Bob and I'm sure we'll have something for you by then, but, I don't think you'll be waiting three months for this."
So, that's my update.
I've gotta believe the guy. It's HIS dealership and he's got to keep his customers happy if he want's to stay in business, right?!!
Anyway, whatever I find out might help me and anybody waiting out there following this topic.

Retired and loving it!
He said that he was going to "prioritize" my CAC and he followed up with me by phone about every two weeks.
The original estimate of when the part was going to be in was the end of February. and although I am not totally convinced that the area rep had anything to do with it, the parts did come in about four weeks before that.
For those of you who are being told its going to be a while before you get your CAC, I'd strongly suggest bumping it up the food chain.

Why are dealers holding some EB trucks with the CAC issue--are they not drivable? Mine has had the power/accel loss happen 3 times on rainy extended drives and the CEL came on the third time it happened. Took it to the dealer and they said it was the CAC and ordered a replacement but said it won't be in until late March. They told me to drive the truck with the CEL on and that they couldn't reset it. It later went off after a week. Truck seems to be driving OK--for now...

Mine has been at the dealership since January 3!!! CAC was suppose to be there February 15 but guess what? I'm still waiting. My patience is really starting to wear thin. On top of that I'm driving a Hyundai Santa Fe for my loaner!!! At least I've saved over 4000 miles on my truck though. Lol.

After asking for the TSB to be done, I got in touch with my area Ford rep, and told him that I was worried about hydro locking my motor, and that I could not believe that Ford was going to take three months to take care of me.

Just picked my 2011 Ecoboost up from the dealership today after having the CAC changed on it. I reported the studdering/misfire back in November and they just got the part in last week. I had to drive my truck until the part came in. I never had the major misfiring issues like some that put the truck in limp mode but i did have a 55 MPH shudder. Haven't driven very far since picking the truck up but on the way home i tried to get it to act up and couldn't make it happen so i'm hoping that this actually fixed the problem but only time will tell. I drive around 3,500 miles a month so i'll have plenty of seat time to tell whether or not the issue is fixed.

I think they're waiting on parts before any recall!
There SHOULD be a recall though, you are right.
I'm still waiting for my call back from the dealer, (see my last posting from yesterday).
I don't think they should be selling these trucks with a known problem out there.
The desk guy told me after the problem was figured out "Bob, you CANNOT drive this truck.
There's no damage, but, If you continue to drive it, you'll KILL it."

I have a 13 with 7k miles on it... built in 08/12... puts me in the sweet spot of errors i assume. No issues at all. Driven in snow, rain, heat... nothing. Should I still make an appt and get it done? Just say it lost power on me once so that I can get the new CAC? (also, im a noob. What is the CAC acronym?)
