Default Keeping your black plastic trim looking good.

What are you using to keep your black plastic looking good? Such as the top of your rear bumper or the step areas of your running boards or the top of your bed rail.

Does the Turtle Wax Ice build up or turn grey in the grain of the plastic?

Yes, and while I am not a fan of most TW products, this is really good product to touch up the chrome in between regular waxing with a good polymer sealant, as well as dress the black plastic trim material. It does not leave a white residue, which is really great. I do, however, use the blue spray bottle.

Also, I use Meguiars Natural Shine Protectant for all vinyl and plastic trim; it is a satin gloss, and brings the trim back to near new appearance. It comes in a black spray bottle.

They are both great performing products.

And the detailer's trick is......to dress the vinyl/plasitc trim first, before you wax; then the wax or polymer residue will not adhere to the surface of the trim pieces.

No, the newer tech products are pretty good in that aspect.
