First new Ford was my 2004 F150. Great truck but no where near as strong as my 06 F350 or even my new '12 Ecoboost.

This was the first new (used, but only 1 year old) vehicle that we had growing up. My parents didn't swap out vehicles every year like I used to.

1994 F150 XLT 5.0 4x4. It now serves as a shop a fuel truck for the front end loader, but still looks just as good as it did in this photo.

My first NEW truck was a 2006 Tacoma Access Cab Sport

My first NEW Ford was this 2011 XLT

My First new FORD truck was my 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac 4X4 with 4.6L 3 valve V8 engine and 3.55 open axle with electronically controlled limited slip (like new 2012 F150 axles). It was awesome in the snow and a great off roader. Never NEVER got stuck in snow over the bottom of the doors.

It had a 4' bed which I thought would be enough coming from a SUV but it turned out it was smaller than what I needed but I made due. It was the most reliable truck or vehicle I have ever owned. And it was fast with a high HP V8 and a low weight. I outran an older Z28 which the owner gave me something afterwards, the bird.

I only traded it because it was racking up miles, within the loan, and running out of warranty. Wish I never traded it on the troublesome 2010 F150.

Hopefully the newer 2012 which be a better truck. At least I have an extended warranty that runs 6 years and 125,000 miles now.

Default My First Ford

Well, my first Ford Truck is my current Ford Truck. Back in 1994 I purchased a brand new 2 tone Tobago Green / Oxford White 4x4 XLT, Std Cab, Long Box, 5 Speed, 302. Honestlly, I never liked Ford. Was NEVER a Ford guy, BUT... I was in the market for a new truck. I was 25 at the time, just about to have my first daughter who turned 18 in Aug... at the time I was a contract installer for the old big 8ft satellite systems for a couple companies, and I needed a truck. I needed a truck that wouldnt ride too rough, so wanted a half ton, drove a LOT so figured the manual might get me a tad better mileage. Ford trucks cost just a bit less than the competition, my grandpa used to have Fords, but at this time my entire family had Chevy trucks...so being the rebel I am, I bought this Ford truck. At the time I told myself I would drive it to 200,000 miles. coming up on 19 years later, I never imagined I would still have this truck, let alone 261,000 mainly trouble free miles. Still has the original engine, never been opened up except to replace the oil pan a couple years ago. Upon doing so, the engine from what could be seen was clean as could be... my mechanic said it was spotless and the factory crosshatching is still on the cyl walls. He told me this truck may die, but it wont be from the engine. I do most repairs on my vehicles.. and change the oil every 3000 miles if not before. it has only gone over 3000 miles one time in its life. Still has original clutch, fuel pumps although the rear one JUST took its life. I put all new greasable ujoints in it 2 years ago, 3/4T springs on the front earlier this year, replaced shifter bushings, minor things. However, the years of Iowa winters and road salt have taken their toll on the body. Also right now the coil towers on the front need replaced, and I want to replace the rear leaf springs, shackles and hangers. They are just getting a lot of rust on them...however the frame is great shape, and replacement parts dont cost that much. I havent decided if I am going to simply make it mechanically strong and dependable, or do a complete restore. Been tossing around the idea of getting a new truck.. but to be honest I love driving my 94 so much Im not sure I would like it. We have a lot of history together. Every time I think I may just drive it to the end of its life, I drive it and think I have to restore her. Anyway, thats my first Ford Truck. it has totally changed my mind on Ford Trucks as I will never own anything but a Ford Truck, it has been THAT good of an experience. Finding a 8ft box, dual tank openings would be the hardest part for doing a restore. Cant find them here in Iowa very often, and when you do they want a lot of money for them. Anyone know in the upper midwest where you can buy rust free truck boxes? Or any place that has them and will ship? I am willing to travel to get one, but not clear cross country. SOOO, thats my truck. I have a newer Tahoe that is my daily driver now. but my ol truck could be once again if I get it fixed up. Right now, I drive, and USE her every weekend. Actually look forward to driving her.

My first was a 2011 F150 supercab 4x4. Then six months later I traded it for a 2012 F150 supercrew 4x4. Then all hell broke loose. The wife got hurt at work, and her salary went to hell in a hand cart. So being the good husband that I am, I traded again. This time went down to a 2010 F150 supercab 4x4 with the 5.4. Cheaper payments...still love my F150,s. Got a leveling kit coming for the front, and getting some 285/70R17s all around.....should be a looker when I get done....Merry Christmas to all

Blue 2012 FX4 5.0. Owned a Cougar couple of Mustangs, Camaro, TransAm, Grand Marquis, and WRX. Needless to say this isn't the best handling vehicle I've ever had, but I love i all the same! Wish I had gotten one earlier.
