1985 F250 4x4 460ci. Stump puller, but total POS. Never saw better than 8mpg under any conditions.....blew first engine at 800 miles......blew 2nd engine at 28,000. I sold it at 38,000 miles but kept the 1-1/2" of warranty paperwork from the buyer. Averaged 4 months a year of rental cars while owning this. Interestingly, I had two neighbors with the same vehicle in the 2WD version and they never had a problem.

This was the third Ford I'd owned, the first NEW Ford I'd ever owned, and last Ford I ever owned.

So you have not owned a Ford since you sold that 1985 model with 38k miles? Did I read that right? But you are on this F150 forum? Why does that seem strange? Maybe you are thinking about buying a Ford after all these years?

I've had two 2001 f150s that were both used (black lariat and green kr), and my fist new one is a 2012 FX4 5.0 . Love them all!

Mine was a 1994 XL regular cab 4x2 with a 5-speed manual and the 4.0L inline six. The only option it had was A/C. Love that trucks and lots of good times. It was a real workhorse.
