2010 FX4...about to buy...any last sec tips
Going to test drive and FINALLY buy this truck tomorrow. It only has 25k miles and appears in very good shape. It's an extended cab with leather and I've got them down to $26.5k. Hoping to get a little more off tomorrow but I'm pretty sick of looking around...I think its a fair price.
The only thing that sketches me out is the FX4 stickers are missing at the end of the truck and the dealer recently replaced the taillight assembly...has me thinking it might have had damage. Is there anything I should look for specifically?
Any other tips is greatly appreciated!

Yes, a missing side decal(especially if the opposite side decal is there) is a good indicator of a re-paint. Scour that bedside when you see it...look for dust nibs or runs. Dust nibs are little bumps in the paint.
Food for thought...I bought my truck 1 year ago for the same price...with 15,000 miles,10,000 less than yours. Granted that is and fx4 and mine an stx. So the fx4 will get a higher price.

That just seems sketchy. I know ur sick of looking around but I'd keep on looking. Never a good idea to rush into buying just cuz ur tired of looking. I'd wait til I found something that I was completely satisfied with

Both fx4 stickers are missing. I've actually seen a few folks on here asking how to take these stickers off so i guess people dont like them.
I'll make sure to take a real good look at the paint.

When I asked the question, this is the answer I got "Some customers take symbols off, they do not like how it looks on the vehicle. As I mentioned before based on the information we have the vehicle has not been in an accident."
Keep in mind it does have a clean carfax...i know that doesn't show all accidents but it should catch most things, right?

No, Carfax doesn’t always catch accidents. I bought a Grand Cherokee from Carmax and it had a clean Carfax report. It had been in a front fender bender and had a good repair job…but still, not in the Carfax report.

In my opinion, it depends on how much trust you have in the dealer.. Like people have said.. Repair would be cheaper without decals, or the owner just took them off! Just don't jump the gun too fast.. Check everything be absolutely sure that is the truck you want. There are other trucks out there, so if you're doubtful, hold off and keep searching!
