What is your 2012 build date?

Some are lucky here. I ordered mine the beginning of October and was told 6-8 weeks "no problem". After 9 weeks I contacted the dealer to check status. They are now telling me the eta is the end of January "If all goes well (16 weeks), otherwise it could be longer". Dealer is blaming it on Ford but I suspect someone at the dealer dropped the ball because the DORA is dated 8 weeks after I placed my order. Is this normal?
The good thing is that I bet you'll save a thousand bucks or more compared to getting the truck in December because hopefully the incentives will go up. I researched, and last year, the January F150 incentives were $2K (!!!) more than in December. Hopefully it's the same this time around. If I get to keep an extra $2,000, I won't complain about the wait.
Did the dealer give you your VIN? I got mine a couple weeks ago.

No, I asked them for an order# or VIN and all they gave me was a copy of the DORA. It doesn't appear that the DORA has the order number on it (?). I was hoping to get this so I could confirm status with Ford's customer service. First time buying American in 17 years and so far not impressed.

Give that to a Ford rep doing a chat session on their web page, and ask for the status. They'll give you the VIN if there is one.
You get to the Chat by going to the build and price page, and wait for the chat window to pop up, asking if you need help. Seems to be a Monday - Friday, 8-5 kind of deal though.
Good luck!

Picked up mine today. Ordered on 10/26, vin on 11/21 window sticker soon thereafter, build date of 12/06 arrival to dealer on 12/21 in Massachusetts.
White tri color, SCrew, platinum, eco, 4x4, 157 ", loaded except for bed and tailgate steps, Dearborn build, arrived via convoy.
I have to say it was well worth the wait, truck is nice. Not nice in the way you describe the fat girl but Niiiiiiiice.

Screw Lariat with Heavy Duty payload ordered 11/22/11. Found Window sticker today. Delivery estimated week of 1/9/12. Seven weeks is not bad over a period that includes two major holidays.
Kansas City plant.
