I'd get the 13 if the Explorer is not meeting your needs and you have the means to afford it.

I just ordered a 2013 for three reasons (only two of which may apply to the OP):
1. I don't want to buy a 1st model year vehicle
2. I got a great deal on the 2013, and there's no guarantee that prices on the 2015 won't be much, much higher
3. I need to move to a pickup from my current hatchback + utility trailer setup.

If the 2015 F150 is really THAT awesome, I'll trade my 2013 for a 2016.
