Default What size fuel tanks were available on 2011-2014

My 2005 xlt had a 32 or 34 gallon tank which was great. I love my 36 gallon tank on my 2014 5.0 xlt.. My question is, was there an option for a smaller tank on the 2011-2014? I heard that the 2013-14 had the 36 gallon tank as a standard option..? Anyone on here know the facts?

26 was standard, 36 optional. My Max tow package with the EcoBoost has the 26 gallon. Nice Ford, real nice.

Thats why I bought the ford. Seriously. I was looking at both, and the ford 302a came with the 36 gal. tank, and chevy didn't even offer it. And the ford with leather and xid was 8000 less than the chevy. Its hard to believe that platinum and limited buyers have to order the bigger tanks since 2015, and 2016. Stupid to pay 60k for a pickup that can only go 200 miles when towing between fill ups. I got my '14 for 33k with tax out the door. People on this forum are whining- when am I going to get my 2016 limited? I can't go on! Give me a break, and get a LIFE!

Also depends on the bed length. I was at the dealer today for service and they had the optional tank on display. The 8' beds have a 50 gallon tank option. There were 4 sizes depending on the bed size, but I don't remember the other sizes.

Yeah, makes sense. Less fuel weight = more towing capacity. Max tow. That's almost 100 lbs. more you can haul!

I've never seen a 4x4 super crew with the smaller tank, only the 36g tank.

my '11 Limited 6.2 has a 36g tank.
