Default What size exhaust???

What size exhaust does everyone recommend??? I've got a 14 3.5 Eco Screw FX4 on 34's that I'm looking to change the exhaust on. I'm purchasing tunes from 5* and not sure what size exhaust I should go with and why. I've looked at 3" and 4", but wondered whats been working best for everyone. Thanks for the feedback.

Your best bet is to go on youtube and listen to as many exhausts for the EB that you can and base your decision on that. Everyone is different and also the fact that it is a V6, a new exhaust may not produce the sound you are after. Some just delete the resonator and call it good.

Thanks. I'm prolly looking for performance than sound. I run 34" nitto m/t's so I have a little interior hum that will most like drown out any exhaust but you never know. Lol

I'm looking just for the sound as I plan on keeping mine mostly stock for now. Any clips of before and after resonator delete, and deleting the resonator won't harm emissions at all correct?

Correct. The resonator is designed to eliminate a specific range of noise, i.e. highway drone. Removing it gives you a little more volume of sound and a slightly deeper tone. This will also increase the drone heard around 2000 rpms since this is the range the resonator was made to eliminate.

I removed mine from my 3.7L and I enjoyed it for awhile, but eventually put the resonator back on. Here's a video after the resonator delete:

my opinion is leave it stock, eco sounds terrible with any sort of open exhaust.

I've got dual Solo performance Mach X and well it sounds like a Grand am or Grand Prix v6 lol. You get used to it after a while but it will never ever sound like a v8. Some guys say with catless down pipes, no res and a 4" it sounds like a mini powerstroke but I don't know.

For anyone who may be looking for a great exhaust system at a great price check out the Legato cat back systems. I have one on my 2010 5.4 and it looks and sounds great. Install is easy no hoist is necessary.
