Im doubting $15k off sticker, unless sticker had the $1900 window tint. I just bought my FX4 a week or two ago and talked to every dealer in town. Mac Haik earned it this time. Planet Ford 45 and 59, Helfman, Tomball, Champion Katy (didn't go to Joe Myers), Conroe, Allen Samuels (not sure where the other 7-8 are, lol)

Top MSRP on mine was $51320, paid $38,305 and I worked all the dealers for over a week. I may been able to get a few bucks off somewhere else, but would have spent it in gas.

Yeah I found and 2012 5.0L 4x4 Lariat, Two-Tone, Leather, Nav, some other goodies and sh*t but stickers $48 and their internet price is $37 and some change. Seems like a good deal so far.

Can't say they don't have a good selection of truck's in Houston. What's that big dealer in Katy on I-10, is that Mac Haik?

It's when a dealer adds another sticker to the truck and charges $599 for paint protection, $399 for tint, $499 for VIN etching, etc. basically all you get is $1900 worth of tint. Lol.

David, doesn't matter if your 22 or 52. If you go in with a good knowledge of the process they won't be able to take you to the cleaners. You have already started arming yourself with this thread. Use all the information available to you on the web, be realistic with your offer (the dealers do need to make some profit), and be ready to walk if you can't make the deal. You'll do fine. I'm 59, and still learn something new about the "art of the deal" when I buy a new car. Good luck.

BTW, I live in North Carolina. I contacted Mac Haik in De Soto the other day about a truck. No where around here sells for that price. I can save money even going to Texas to buy.

Also, selling vs trading. Check your tax laws. In North Carolina you pay taxes on the final selling price of the new vehicle. Ex., if I sell my vehicle for $22000 dollars I lose $660 (3%) to taxes on the final sell. If the dealer offers $22000 then I will save that amount as it is subracted from the negotiated price of the new vehicle. Hope I explained that to where you can understand what I saying.
