What’s this sound? (Video)

  • About 2.5wks ago, this sound came about and increases pitch as you accelerate. I called a “mobile mechanic” and he couldn’t diagnose the issue saying it sounded like the inside. While he was there, he replaced my belts (needed them) and changed oil while I worked. I provided oil and belts. Labor was $125
  • Ford Dealer: $150 to diagnose. Warranty good until 100k Miles. Warranty deductible is $100 if covered by dealer.
  • Firestone: $50 to diagnose. Repair cost of labor/part unknown
  • Which option is best? Risk Ford handling it and being charged $150 if not warranty issue, that Firestone could have done for $50? Or just using this video I’m providing, go to oreilly’s buy the part, and have the mobile mechanic install?
  • Looking at the video, what do you think it is? I was lucky enough to get a reflection on the belt so you see exactly which one it it is. Here’s my video to the video....

Had one up for a while and deleted that one because I never got a response so I figured i should change the subject and perhaps post in another room for broader views.

Possibly the pulley(bearing) on compressor. Cycle it on/off and see if noise changes.
